Parade goers who turn in full bags of cans, bottles or throws at recycling stations are eligble to win prizes from local sponsors.

Used cans brought by the public to EMR Recycling in mid-city from Feb 21st to March 7th, 2025 can be redeemed for cash at double market rate thanks to Every Can Counts.

Aluminum can recycling receptacles set out over 20 blocks during the Babylon, Chaos and Muses evening parades. Sponsored by Entergy.

Following the King Arthur day parade a crew of 12 workers with rolling bins, pickers and a box truck will sweep a section of the parade route to capture all discarded aluminum cans before city sanitation clean up.

The "Re-Cyclists" Marching Krewe parades with Krewe Boheme to collect recyclable material from parade attendees in a fun and interactive way.

Homeowners along the parade route use Recycle Dat! bins and bags on their property to help collect cans and throws from neighbors and the public.

Hotels in the Downtown Development District collect donated throws from guests and visitors from Feb 21st to Mar 7th. Throws are collected by Glass Half Full and delivered to various non-profits for reuse.
