Marching with Krewe Mosaique on January 13th, 2024!

Trashformers Marching Krewe

Since 2019 the “Trashformers” have hit the streets of the Marigny and French Quarter with KreweDelusion as the first ever Interactive Recycling Marching Krewe. Twenty Five locals decked out in eco-pun costumes flip the script on parading by collecting waste as they pass by instead of producing it. Riding unique “Re-Cycle” shopping cart/bike hybrids, the Trashformers encourage parade goers to drink up and hand over their aluminum cans and plastic bottles to marchers such as “Marie Can-toinette”, “Oscar the Recycling Grouch”, “The Pacific Garbage Patch Kid”, “Amazon Prime”, and “Recyclopse”. The “Marching Krewe with a job to do” is typically able to divert up to (25) thirty gallon bags of recyclable material from the landfill. The Krewe hopes to grow that amount exponentially when they march again in 2024.
